The New games + Expo came with many exciting surprises and announcements. One amazing deal about the publishers and developers participating in this Expo is that most of them belong to the indie scene which makes the collection of upcoming Nintendo Switch games even more diverse and exciting.

- Birushana
Release Date: June 28th 2022
Who doesn’t like themselves a good otome game? This visual novel otome game is developed by Idea Factory. The story starts years after the huge Heiji Rebellion which pushed the Heiji clan to the top seat of power and devastated the Genji clan.
The Genji clan isn’t finished yet. The youngest heir to the Genji clan is being raised and trained deep within the Kurama mountains by monks. Raised to take revenge, our protagonist wishes for love and peaceful life.
- Azure Striker Gunvolt 3
Release Date: July 28th 2022
Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 is back with its third instalment to the main series, the Azure Striker Gunvolt. Also popularly known as Armed Blue: Gunvolt 3 in some countries especially in Japan, the video game will see Gunvolt returning as the playable and main character paired with an updated and new moveset.
What’s new is a new character Kirin, who will fight alongside you with her talisman and sword.
- Dusk Diver 2
Release Date: Summer of 2022
The power-packed sequel to the Dusk Diver is back with this instalment. Have a thrilling adventure in this amazing RPG with a series of new characters, new customizations and new cut-scenes.
- The Last Friend
Release Date: April 21st 2022
Fight relentless hordes of mutant foes that have gone rampant all over the world creating destruction and a lot of chaos. Set in the post-apocalyptic world, The Last Friend is a perfect blend of tower defence thriller and arcade action.

Release Date: June 16th 2022

Equipped with an adorable cast of characters, Horgihugh and Friends await with 6 amazing levels, 13 intense and challenging boss fights and two different difficulty levels to explore.
- Samurai Bringer
Release Date: April 21st 2022
Dive into this fantasy Japanese style thriller where you fight off samurais, monsters and demons alike to regain the power and strength that has been taken away from you. You can build your own fight combinations by obtaining scrolls known as combat scrolls that will help you in your final battle against the eight-headed serpent boss.
- Unsouled
Release Date: Spring of 2022
This 2D RPG beauty is a combat-based action thriller that will cure all your dodge and shooting game hangovers.
The story follows a fallen kingdom’s prince who discovers that he is capable of taking in souls from dead people and making himself stronger.
Every boss fight will give you a new skill that can be used to fight in future battles.
- Prinny Presents NIC Classics Volume 3: La Pucelle: Ragnarok/ Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure
Release Date: Summer of 2022
Originally a Japan-exclusive, this game will finally be available to all the Nintendo Switch users in the coming summer.
The game is thoroughly customized and updated and thus comes with a sharpener and cleaner visuals.
- Kamiwaza: Way of the Thief
Release Date: Fall of 2022
In Kamiwaza, play Ebizo, a former thief who goes back to the dangerous streets of Mikado in order to save his daughter’s life.

- Jack Jeanne
Release Date: 2023

- Underworld Dreams: The False King
