GTA 6 – Official Rockstar Updates & Rumours

GTA 6 Official rockstar updates and rumours

GTA 6 has been officially confirmed by Rockstar Games, and while we don’t know when it will be out, at least we know there will be GTA vi. We also know that Rockstar has some serious ambitions for its next game.

During a recent results conference call, parent company Rockstar Take-Two Interactive stated that development on GTA 6 “is ongoing, [and] the team at Rockstar Games is committed to once again setting the creative standard for the series, our industry and for…Everything.” fun to manage, as the label does with each of its first releases.” Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnik specifically said, so I hope this will be something to watch out for.

Back in February, developer Rockstar Games omitted the fact that “active development is underway for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series” at the end of a Newswire blog post (opens in a new tab), so it’s unclear where exactly the game is. in development.

There have been so many rumors and gossip about GTA 6 over the years that anything officially confirmed isn’t real. We’ve got leaks hinting at the game’s story elements, settings, features, and other details, so it’ll be interesting to see what Rockstar will reveal next.

The latest information fans have received comes from a job ad from Rockstar that hints at the incredible detail and a “widespread crash” for GTA 6. This could be a pretty big upgrade from what you can currently experience in GTA 5 and GTA Online. Also, interestingly, GTA fans believe this

San Andreas Easter Egg is their first look at GTA 6, so there could be some sort of official reveal later this year.

But that’s not all. Read on for all the GTA 6 rumors circulating so far.

When is the GTA 6 release date?

If Rockstar announces GTA vi the day after Red Dead Redemption 2 was released (26 October 2018 – mark it in your diary) then due to historical delays, we will pause between the announcement of the GTA console, and the 22 months wait for release – so August 2020. Of course, Rockstar does not do it. It didn’t actually materialize until February 2022, when Rockstar confirmed it was working on the game. This makes it difficult to predict the release window. However, a new leak suggests it won’t arrive before the end of 2024.

The latest rumour is that GTA 6’s release date is sometime in 2025. This comes with hints that the game is set in a modernized version of Vice City, which will evolve and change over time.

This contradicts previous rumours that GTA 6 could launch in October 2023 in Miami. However, this comes from a questionable online source, but further details of this leak include a single male protagonist, with the game set in the 1970s, with chapter stories like Red Dead Redemption 2. Merge Rockstar fans with The Teasing. Rockstar’s official support profile tells us to “follow” GTA 6 updates on Twitter, and it’s getting interesting.

What did Rockstar say about GTA 6 on record?

The former president of Rockstar North teased the next series in 2013 in a four-part interview with Develop magazine (opens in a new tab) that started the rumours online:

“We don’t know what GTA vi will look like, but we have some ideas,” Benzies said in an interview. “We have about 45 years of ideas that we want to implement. We will choose the right one. First, it comes from an idea. Where to place is the first question. It then defines the mission; You do things differently in LA than in New York or Miami. Maps and stories are co-created, and stories are the mainstream of how they work, allowing you to layer missions.

Of course, Benzies doesn’t reveal much about what GTA 6 will look like, and that leaves Rockstar North in a pretty dire state (opens in a new tab). However, Rockstar is unlikely to tear apart the tried-and-true GTA series development process, where world-building comes first, and characters and structures are layered on top. GTA 5 was created by over 1000 developers in studios around the world, so changing a template would be a bold move.

Will there be a PC version of GTA 6?

At this point, it’s pretty clear that GTA vi will be the PS5 and Xbox Series X versions, especially with the announcement of the next generation of GTA 5 for consoles and PC. However, whether the PC port of GTA 6 will be released alongside its console counterparts is not so clear.

GTA 5 and GTA 4 finally made it to PC, so hopefully, there’s a GTA 6 PC port too. There may not be a simultaneous launch, but the extra polish and development time has paid off so far, so hopefully, PC fans are willing to wait a little longer.
