Read about Marvel’s SpiderMan 2 from PlayStation Show-Window 2021. Sony’s PlayStation never fails to surprise. It left spectators and fans wanting more after their 40-minute-long Show Window in September. The grand show was filled with huge announcements and every minute was worth it.
The Show-Window gave us an insight into all the upcoming and much-awaited games irrespective of exclusives and third-party video games. In total 15 games were introduced equipped with their visuals or teasers or trailers or all three. The show itself was huge and so was the buzz that followed.
So here is our list of some of the biggest announcements made during the event that includes big names like Bloodhunt, SpiderMan 2 and so much more.
Marvel’s Wolverine and Marvel’s SpiderMan 2
One of the biggest announcements from the show came from the Insomniac Studios. The veteran developers that have given PlayStation some of the biggest exclusive hits tease fans with another collaboration with Marvel Games. The two studios have worked together on Spider-Man and Spider-Man: Miles Morales, both incredible hits.
Coming to the PS5 consoles in 2023, Marvel’s SpiderMan 2 is the much-anticipated sequel to its predecessors Spiderman and Spiderman: Miles Morales. This latest addition will feature both our favourite heroes- Peter and Miles in an action-packed adventure to fight off evil and save the world. And to everyone’s surprise, one of the most favourite characters from the comic- Venom will be seen in this instalment. The trailer also hinted at some new suits and powers that our heroes will acquire in the course of the game.
Another surprise from this collaboration that had everyone excited, even more, was the announcement of Marvel’s Wolverine. Being a huge fan of Wolverine in general, I honestly cannot wait to experience the thrilling game that the developers have created.
Even though the said game is in its early stages of development, the studio is quite satisfied with the process up until now. The studio has also announced that Wolverine will be a standalone game directed by creatives that were responsible for leading the team for Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
Gran Turismo 7
Gran Turismo can be called a series that helped shape PlayStation into what it is today. The first instalment of the Gran Turismo was a major hit on PS1.
The game is all set for a PS5 and PS4 release on 4th March 2022. GT is a name that has become legendary in the gaming scene and fans of car racing always look up to what the game has in store for them. The creator of GT has assured that this instalment will have something for everyone, be it a die-hard old fan that has been following the game for years or a first-time gamer, the game is ready to entertain and leave every gamer in awe. The very popular GT Campaign mode is finally making its grand comeback with GT7. Along with that, the Livery Editor will have an updated user interface that will improve its accessibility among players.
Keeping in mind the sheer power of the new PlayStation consoles the PS5, GT is bringing back some of its most legendary tracks with some finest additions. The video game will also feature a wide range of cars that include cars from the past, legendary cars as well as the new models of the same.
- God of War: Ragnarök
The sequel to the 2018 hit, God of War is finally coming to PS5 and PS4 in 2022 after a delay due to the pandemic. Fans of the series already know what ensued in the God of War and what to expect.
To summarize the events of The God of War and what will follow- our protagonist now has a companion- his son Atreus from his second wife Faye. And they are amid the Norse mythology. Now the duo is on an adventure to fulfil Faye’s last wish before her death which is to spread her ashes across the highest peak of the Nine Realms.
Freya once an ally now an enemy sends Baldur her son to find Faye. Baldur is killed by Kratos and Freya swears vengeance.
Ragnarök brings forth two of the most formidable enemies of the series- Freya and Thor. Now Thor needs no introduction as he is one of the most powerful characters in the entire Norse mythology. One look at the legendary Mjolnir and one would know what happens to the ones that cross Thor’s path.
The video game is the culmination of epic battles combat, weapons that are legendary on their own and Atreus’ curiosity that will lead them to answers that everyone wants.
Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves collection
Naughty Dog, the studio behind the hit series Uncharted are bringing Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves, a remastered bundle that will include Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
The video game will have Nathan Ross seeking the long-lost treasure that belonged to Captain Avery in his adventure-filled journey to the long lost Libertalia- a pirate colony. Also, Chloe Frazer’s journey as set out to India’s Western Ghats in the search for the Golden Tusk of Ganesh, with the help of mercenary Nadine Ross.
The video game is all set to release in early 2022 on PS5 as well on PC.
Bloodhunt
Bloodhunt has finally decided to bring its free to play shooter royale on PS5. The settings of the game are based in the Old Town of Prague where rival vampire clans battle against each other all the while surviving against a complete annihilation from the ‘Entity’.
The video game features three clans each with its specific set of skills and powers. The first is the Toreador that hides their hunter-like tendencies behind their contemporary nature and beauty. The next is the Brujah, known for their spiteful nature, their lack of self-control over their anger and their violence. Last but not the least are the Nosferatu who likes to blend in the shadow having ears and eyes everywhere in every corner of the town.
The game is said to have a lot of potential with customisation options, epic battle combos, scenic details and an immersive sound system.
Ghostwire: Tokyo
Explore the madness of Tokyo but in a more chilling scenario. The neon-lit establishments, skyscrapers, shining shrines, narrow and long alleyways are left completely empty by a mysterious fog.
The player finds themselves alone on the street with humans vanished from the city. A masked group with their leader known as the Hannya takes responsibility for the phenomenon. Now, it’s up to you to master and hone your skills of a superpower know ethereal weaving to stop Hannya and his group from delivering the last part of their plan.
The creators of this much-anticipated game have assured players of an immersive experience with the PS5 console.
Rainbow Six Extraction
Fans of Team Rainbow has seen it all. From nuclear threats to fear of biological weapons, they have faced every threat head-on. Now the world is faced with another and the most dangerous threat- alien mutants.
The mutants known as the Achaeans, have already captured four key places in the USA- Alaska, New York, New Mexico and San Francisco. Captain Ash has successfully recruited a team that will help eliminate the threat. The team is named REACT short for Rainbow Exogenous Analysis and Containment Team.
The job of these elite professionals is to enter the affected zones, collect intel, suppress the Archaens and rescue their teammates. Sounds exciting right?
The video game was made with the platform that is PS5 in mind. So, the game will be accustomed and include all the special specs of the console. From the adaptive triggers to the haptic feedback will help players have the most amazing time with the game.
Project Eve
Since its announcement in 2019, Project Eve has managed to create quite a buzz among players who have been anticipating the release of the same. Shift Up the developers creating this masterpiece grabbed the opportunity to show the world a closer look into the video game Earth through the PlayStation Show 2021.
The game begins by showcasing destroyed earth in the near future where mankind has been forced to leave as they have been defeated by NA: tives (the invaders that battled against the people on the earth). Our player is Eve, a survivor who has been sent by the colony to fight against these invaders in order to win earth back.
Again, this game has been developed keeping in mind the PS5 and its unprecedented features. The video game will surely highlight all the features of the same.

Apart from the above-mentioned games, announcements about games like Tiny Tina’s- Wonderland, Grand Theft Auto, Marvel’s Guardian of the Galaxy, Star Wars, Deathloop and many more were also made during the event. All in all, the event was filled with news on some of the biggest titles and sequels coming in the following months and next year.
Being a hardcore spiderman fan, personally, I am waiting for SpiderMan 2. The teasers and trailer are a visual treat and honestly, it makes me even more excited.
